A refined Baroque loggia opening onto the white stone embrace of Piazza Ciaia — this is how Palazzo Alchimia Albano Pepe welcomes you, the latest urban residence of Alchimia Collection, inaugurated in July 2025 after a two-year restoration. Between the austere lines of the Church of San Nicola and the lively cafés of the square, the palazzo breathes new life into a seventeenth-century masterpiece, where the history of Fasano and contemporary art meet in perfect harmony.
Passing through the doorway, you’re welcomed by a beautiful staircase crafted from local stone. Here, the past meets the present in the play of light, in Italian design furnishings, and in carefully selected artworks and photographs curated by Caroline Groszer. The result is a true alchemy of styles: clean, modern lines enhancing frescoes, noble crests, and the natural light of Puglia.
Design
The restoration has successfully preserved the authentic soul of the residence, restoring the grandeur of the majestic antique doors and enhancing the elegant star-vaulted ceilings, historic frescoes, and niches. Here, past and present, ancient and modern, history and design intertwine in a refined balance.
You will recognize the modern elegance of the Le Corbusier sofas, be delighted to discover the iconic Ball Chair by Eero Aarnio, and admire the captivating photographs by both international and Apulian artists, which perfectly complement the ancient beauty of the palace. Every step resonates on the elegant amber marble floor, extracted from a quarry in Trani, adding further prestige to the environment.
