- MArTA exhibits one of the largest collections of artefacts from the Magna Graecia period, including the famous “Ori of Taranto”
- it was established in 1887 and is located in the former Convento dei Frati Alcantarini
- to visit the MArTA is indispensable in order to understand the history of Puglia
